Slovenia

Lake BledSlovenia is a revelation, so beautiful, so traditional and truly distinctive. Small and compact, it nonetheless combines an astonishing range of landscapes. There is an almost tangible timelessness, with villages seemingly untouched by the passage of time, wooden kozolec for drying hay, and colourfully painted kranji beehives.

North-East

The Stajerska region contains some of Slovenia's richest history. Feeling very much at a crossroads, this area has been inhabited over the centuries by Celts, Romans, Slavs, Habsburgs and German occupiers.
