Here, charming Sóller, a bustling place nestling in a fertile, bowl-shaped valley planted with citrus groves, makes a great base for walking and exploring using the efficient and widespread network of buses, trams and trains (or inexpensive taxis). We provide detailed notes for a wide range of scenic walking routes. Explore the huge forested crater of La Caldera de Taburiente which dominates the island, walk through surprisingly lush valleys and along rocky inlets on the coast, or swim in the clear blue waters which offer year-round bathing.
